About My Brand: Scarred Not Broken
This isn’t just a brand. This is my life’s story turned into a movement.
My name is Conor , and Scarred Not Broken was born from some of the darkest moments of my life. I created this brand for people like me, the ones who’ve been through hell, made it out the other side, and are still standing. Scarred, yes, but never broken.
I didn’t have an easy start. My childhood was full of love, but it was also full of chaos. As I got older, I realized my mum was battling alcoholism, a disease that slowly took her from me, even while she was still here. By the time I was a teenager, I was in and out of foster care, constantly in trouble at school and with the police. I was angry. Lost. I didn’t feel like I belonged anywhere. But somehow, through the support of a foster mum and a social worker who believed in me, I got a second chance. I worked hard, went to sixth form, and started trying to rewrite my story.
But life wasn’t done testing me.
In my twenties, I ended up in a relationship that was financially and emotionally abusive. I lost everything; my home, my stability, even my sense of self. I hit rock bottom and tried to end my life. But in that moment of total despair, I reached out for help. And slowly, painfully, I began to heal.
Today, my mum has alcohol-related dementia. She hasn’t recognized me in years. That’s something I carry every day. But I’ve learned that healing doesn’t mean erasing your scars. It means learning to live with them and turning them into something powerful.
Scarred Not Broken is about exactly that. It’s a clothing brand and a mental health movement. Every t-shirt and hoodie we release carries a message: that strength comes from struggle, and your pain doesn’t define you - your fight does.
This brand is about resilience. It’s for the ones who’ve been in care. For the men struggling in silence. For anyone who feels like giving up, but chooses to keep going. I want to use my voice, my story, and this brand to spark real conversations about mental health — especially men’s mental health — and to show people they’re not alone.
